Tribal Youth Thrashed, Burnt & Hanged To Death For Listening Loud Music - RVCJ Media

The case occurred a few months back but the justice is still lingering in the court. One of the most horrifying reason to kill someone came into limelight, Madiya a year old boy of Acchoda village in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh was thrashed, burnt alive and his body was hung from a tree by upper caste men for listening to loud music on his phone. The absurd that it sounds, is far more disturbing that this incident happened on the eve of Independence Day.

The young tribal boy refused to lower the volume of music while cycling past a group of upper caste boys which resulted in murdering him. Moreover, none from the village made a noise about it nor did the policemen bothered to take up the case even after pleas from the family members of the young boy.

As per the reports Anand Mohan Mathur, counsel for petitioner, said accused, Hariram Patidar and Saligram Patidar had ordered Madiya to lower the decibels and this sparked off an argument. Later, the boys associated with the village seva dal came in a group and assaulted Madiya, set him on fire and hung his charred body from a tree in front of his house. His body was found hanging from the tree at midnight by his grandmother and the family had to witness the horror, though no FIR was lodged.

But hopefully the case may start moving now after the High Court took a notice on the case and summoned superintendent of police (SP), Dhar, and station head officer (SHO), Manawar police station.
