True Love Never Dies! Kerala Woman Helps Mom Reunite With Her First Love After 32 Yrs

There is no denying the fact that marriage is a very important decision not only for the couples but also for their families. In India, elders still play a very significant role in deciding with whom their son or daughter is going to get married. But what will you say to know about a woman who got married not because her parents wanted that but for her children, as they desired to see her married.

We are talking about Anitha Chembuvilayil (52) who got married to G Vikraman (68) at the behest of her daughter Aathira Dathan, who brought these two lovers together again and gave a happy moment to this 32 years long love story.

Aathira who is from Kerala, shared these beautiful moments on social networking site Facebook and gave a full account of these lovers in brief.

It all started in 1984 when Anitha was a student of class 10th at Ochira, near Kollam and Vikraman used to teach at a tuition centre. He was also an active member of political party, CPI (M) and they both used to meet regularly at party events.

Anitha and Vikraman found their soulmates in each other but Anitha’s father, who was an Assistant Engineer in Indian Army at that time, wasn’t ready to accept Vikraman as his son-in-law because he was much older than Anitha, just a teacher by profession and a CPI (M) activist.

Anitha was stopped from going to school and was even warned to keep distance from Vikraman otherwise his life would be in danger. She agreed to it and later got married to another man.

After losing his love, Vikraman left the ‘thali’ and ‘saree’ which he bought for marriage at his friend’s house in Ochira and left for Chavara. He devoted his whole life for the party and gave no place to marriage or relationship in his life.

Aathira tells that her mother Anitha was also heartbroken and even after getting wed, she was not happy. When Aathira was just 8 yrs old, her father killed himself after getting drunk. Anitha brought up her two daughters and educated them despite resistance from her family.

After many years, Vikraman came back to Ochira to live a retired life but he was asked to fight panchayat elections and while he was campaigning for the elections, he met Anitha once again.

Aathira wrote in her post, “Mother told me about him. I couldn’t sleep that day. I felt like meeting sir, I came to our native place soon after that. During the panchayat elections, he was the candidate from our ward. That’s how he returned to his native place after so many years. When we first met, we talked a lot, cried a lot. I wished that sir and mother unite before my wedding. I wished that he be in my father’s position at my wedding. I tried a lot, but sir was adamant. He said he would think about it only after my wedding.”

Aathira was in no mood to postpone her mother’s wedding for too long so she decided to get married soon and this decision was supported by Aathira’s sister too. She tells, “My sister supported my decision. Two months ago I got married. After that we began to discuss their (Anitha and Vikraman) wedding. Close friends, neighbors, the party and a very few relatives supported us.”

When Anitha and Vikraman got married on July 21 at Anitha’s house, the person who gave thali to Vikraman was the same person who disliked him and wanted to kill him, Anitha’s father whose age is now 82.

Aathira wrote, “I am really happy now, I don’t know how and what to write because of my excitement.”

She told TNM, “We need to know and respect our parents’ aspirations. I grew up watching my mother suffering for different things. I only wanted to bring her some happiness. Only kids can strive to make their parents happy. July 21 was the happiest day of my life.”

Kudos to this daughter who left no stone unturned to bring happiness in her mother’s life!
