For about few days, a message is doing rounds on social media targeting Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. As per the viral message, Arjun Tendulkar has been selected in the under-16 team despite the fact that in a game against north zone, he was clean bowled at 0 as well as in 12 overs, gave 52 runs. On the other hand, Pranav Dhanawade, who was in limelight lately for making record-breaking 1009 runs in a local game in just 323 balls isn’t selected in the team.

Pics of both were shared on social media and web with caption, “Eklavya” once again lost to “Arjun”.

But have you ever tried to know the reality or truth behind this viral message? Perhaps NO!

And we can safely say that you’ll be shocked to know what actually the truth is and how some people are playing with others’ emotions by spreading false news.

There is absolutely no denying the fact that Pranav made 1009 runs but it was in the month of January during Thane district’s inter-school tournament for which he was rewarded scholarship by Mumbai Cricket Association and Sachin too met him in his home. There can definitely be no comparison between the two players in view of the fact that Arjun is all-rounder while Pranav is wicket-keeper batsman.

In fact, when Prashant Dhanawade, father of Pranav, was asked about the message, he confirmed that it’s utterly wrong since selection of Arjun had been done earlier when his son not even made the amazing score.

Arjun had been selected for the team based on his performance in Payyade Trophy when in a match on 27th November, he made a century along with taking 4 wickets while Pranav didn’t play in the tournament and that’s why, he wasn’t selected. Thus, the story or message which is getting viral on social media is totally wrong!

Watch the video where Pranav’s father also confirmed that there is no truth in the viral message and it’s just to defame Arjun Tendulkar:-
