Situations had gone haywire when ‘Udta Punjab’ was leaked online 2 days prior to its theatrical release. Everyone had a doubt on Censor Board, since the leaked copy had ‘For Censor’ watermark on it!
However, when producers lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell, Deepak Kumar, the owner of allzmovie.in was arrested. But now, there seems to be a twist. Deepak stated that he had already downloaded this movie from a different website and then uploaded to his own. However, officers say that the website isn’t functioning anymore.
Police had arrested Kumar and brought him to Mumbai after they found that the leaked copy was uploaded to allzmovie.in. Now, an official of Cyber cell stated that
“Kumar has in his interrogation said that he downloaded the movie from a website named 9x.com. We tried accessing the website and found that it is now defunct. We are trying to obtain more details about it.”
Now, investigators are of the opinion that the website owner would have shut 9x.com after the complaint was registered. Meanwhile on Thursday, Kumar was granted bail by the court. So guys who do you think is the actual culprit? Do let us know your thoughts in our comments section below!
