The monsoon season not only comes with rains but also with increase in prices of vegetables and if we talk about the current scenario, the prices of tomatoes are breaking all the records as they are being sold in the range of Rs. 100-120 per kg.
While tomato is not a main ingredient of any dish, it plays a vital role when it comes to salad and it adds a flavor to the dish in which it is added while cooking. Some people prepare in advance to combat the price rise in tomatoes by buying them in big quantities when they are available at low prices and then they prepare tomato puree which they keep in cold storage. This tomato puree is used in those times when tomatoes are priced high but not everyone in this world uses this technique to counter rise in prices.
Well when there is nothing in our control, we can do one thing and that is laugh out loud by checking out memes that are made on tomatoes and the rise in their prices and it won’t be wrong to say that the most relatable one is the one from the movie “3 Idiots”.

It is said that whenever prices of goods increase in Japan, Japanese people stop consuming the most expensive food item for some time because of which the price of that commodity comes down soon.
Why don’t Indians also stop consuming tomatoes for one week? Just saying!!
