There has been much debate and discussion on the printing quality and accuracy of new notes of Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 500, as few different versions of Rs. 500 notes circulated in the market. What’s more, there have been some errors in printing of new notes as well. And now comes a shocking piece of news!
As claimed by a Twitter user, the new notes of Rs. 500 don’t survive even a round in washing machine! Shocking, isn’t it?
It so happened that the Twitterati washed a new note of Rs. 500 with his clothes by mistake in washing machine and what he found checking the note after wash shocked him to the core. He also uploaded a photo of the note which got quite ‘clean’ after wash:
The user shared the pic of the note and wrote, “Check your pockets before giving your clothes for a wash. The new notes won’t survive a round in the washing machine.”

Well, it’s advised that one should always check all the pockets of clothes before dumping them in washing machine because unwanted stuffs might damage the machine or get torn or bleached.
Nevertheless, on a general note, banknotes never got pretty bleached off and there had seldom been any effect on their printing and color even after machine wash but this case is quite bizarre.
However, there’s no certainty in this regard, as the authenticity of the news couldn’t be maintained and if you really want to find out the truth, you must try it on your own.
But we suggest that you do it after checking whether you have sufficient cash in your pockets in this era of demonetization and cash crunch!
