There were shock-waves in Manchester, as suicide bombers created terror at Ariana Grande’s live concert. 60 people were injured and 22 people lost their lives.

Cricketers who are heading to England for Champions Trophy, were shocked with this horrific incident; many expressed grief on Twitter. One among them was Mitchell McClenaghan, the New Zealand player.

He tweeted;

Shocking news…. heart goes out to all those families involved. #ParyForManchester

However, he didn’t know that after tweeting this, he would have to deal with a jerk and teach him a lesson he will never forget. After the Manchester incident, many people are blaming the Muslim community, and so did this Twitter user. He applied the religious angle to Mitchell’s tweet;

Here’s what he said,

The Twitter user asked him to stay away from Muslims and stay away; however, he didn’t know that Mitchell will blast at him for bringing the “Religion” issue in between.

Instead of staying quiet, Mitchell chose to hit back at him; he said…

“This is a terrible comment. To judge purely on someone’s race or religion is horrendous! Exactly why there is hate in this world!”

It seems the guy still didn’t understand the meaning of terrible comment. He went on to explain his logic to Mitchell. He said,

“What is terrible is those persons who want implementation of Sharia Worldwide and killing people of other religion and atheists.”

It’s because of hatred that such issues crop up. On this tweet, Mitchell gave a bang on reply;

He said, “And with comments like that you invite hate on all Muslims – Take a look at yourself.”

After this, the Twitter user changed his words and blamed “Islam”; according to him, Islam is creating all these issues. He tweeted,

https://twitter.com/Contelite/status/866941539066531840

The tweet read, “Should have said Islam,my fault.If people fail to recognise there is a problem with Islam we can never solve it.”

This was not it, the user also said that even though many such incidents take place all across the globe, only the ones in important cities are highlighted.

He tweeted,

https://twitter.com/Contelite/status/866941957179920384

He said, “There are many terrorist attacks going on worldwide,but only those on important cities get limelight.Tweets and hashtags are not enough.”

It seems Mitchell wasn’t in the mood to continue the conversation further and so, he ignored it. Religion is a very sensitive topic but Twitter users don’t seem to understand that. Every issue is linked with religion, which is so very wrong. We appreciate Mitchell for his clear thoughts on the matter. He could have kept quiet, but instead, he chose to slam the user.
