Hyderabad police has taken two persons in custody on the charges of deceiving e-commerce organization Flipkart for over an amount of Rs. 50, 000. Police told that an iPhone was ordered by these two persons and after the product was delivered to them, they demanded a refund.
Flipkart registered a complaint against Atul Sharma and Naveen Kumar in the Chikadpally police station and the police arrested them on the basis of this complaint.
Atul ordered an Apple iPhone 6 from Flipkart in the name of Naveen Kumar and the payment for the phone which was Rs. 51, 590 was made using a credit card. The phone was delivered to them by the firm.
The very next day, a complaint was made by Atul and Naveen to Flipkart citing that the phone has not been delivered in the packet, instead of the phone what they receive was paper and rubber. Police officials told that the entire refund was made by the company.
However, after this, the company made an internal probe to find the missing phone and it was found that the phone is being used in the Hyderabad city. When police tracked the IMEI number of the phone, it was found that Atul was using the phone and hence both of them were arrested by the police.
