The man in question here, Santosh Mahto and his son, Karan is a prime example of how “Jugaad” works in India. This poor father-son duo who lives in Ranchi, uses their cart in the most innovative way possible. Santosh Mahto sells eggs and bread above the cart and just below the cart his son studies with dedication. Customers who eats buying from the cart are often surprised seeing the kid.
A proud father Santosh said, “My son studies in a private school. He is intelligent, that is why I bring him here. We live in a house of rent Rs. 700 whereas I pay Rs.500 for Karan’s school fee. I’ll educate him till the time he wants to study. I am not well-educated but I do know how to sign.”
The story behind him studying below the cart will leave you surprise and also in Awwww of the kid. Since his father is also not very educated, and cannot explain him everything on the go. Karan relies on the customers to make him understand if he faces any difficulty in understanding a chapter.
