Since the time PM Modi has announced demonetization of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, people are trying really hard to get the new currency in Rs 2,000 notes. Some people have still not been able to get their hands on the new notes and those who have managed to get them are facing difficulties in using them due to lack of change. It has been 2 months now, but still change is unavailable.
Amidst this, a Uber driver has acted really smart. In fact, he has misused this situation and got away without any kind of troubles. We understand that change is limited, but should we misuse this? No ways…
Krish Ashok, a Twitter user shared his experience and you’ll be shocked to read it. He tweeted that he took a Uber and was crossing the OMR toll plaza when this incident happened. When they reached the toll naka, the Uber driver asked him to give him a Rs 2000 note just for few seconds. Ashok started wondering as to what’s he going to do with it. The driver did something which actually surprised him; would you like to know it too?
Well, he took the note and showed it at the toll plaza; the official asked them to leave without making the payment because of lack of change. In short, the toll fee was waived off.
Here are the tweets by Ashok;
Uber driver asks if I have a 2K note. I ask why. He says, watch. Offers it to the toll guy who gives it back & says it's ok, no toll. Go on.

And yes, it goes without saying that if you are in an Uber, you don't get to profit, only the driver does. Uber still automatically charges

In reality the driver had actually cheated Ashok because the toll charges were included in his final bill. This means that the driver had provided benefits to the company by not paying the toll, but charging the customer.
