We are taught in schools that “Honesty Is The Best Policy”, but as we grow up, we find that honesty is almost missing from our lives and it has been replaced by fraud and cheating. However, this Uber driver has not let honesty disappear from his life and has set an example for all of us to follow.
We get to know about this marvelous person from Anant Jain.
Anant took Uber taxi for airport but the amount he needed to pay to his taxi driver was not ascertained as there was some problem with the app. Since it was a long trip, Anant gave him Rs. 500 and forgot the incident. But the taxi driver was determined enough to not forget the incident and he went back to that man to return his change as his app started working.

Anant took to Facebook and shared his story along with this photo:
“My wife and I took a Uber ride on 15th June 2016 from my grandparents house to the airport. On reaching the airport, the Uber App on the drivers phone stopped responding and he was unable to end the trip. After trying a few times he suggested that he pay me Rs. 300 and if there was a difference I could transfer it to his account at a later date. I did not want to owe him money so I gave him Rs. 500 as it was a fairly long ride. He took my phone number and assured me that he would return the difference as soon as the app started working.
Around 15 minutes later I got an email from Uber that the fare was Rs. 302.90. I was impressed at the calculation of my driver and assumed that he got a big tip that day. I was travelling abroad so my phone was switched off for the remainder of the trip.
On returning to Calcutta, I was pleasantly surprised when my Grandfather gave me Rs. 200 which Mr. Bidya, my uber driver had returned the next day. He had made the effort to come to the pick up point and enquire with the security guards as to who took a ride at around 9 pm the previous night. They went through the CCTV footage to identify us and saw my Grandfather seeing us off at the cab. The driver then went with security to return the money to my grandfather and explain the situation.
I am extremely impressed by the honesty and ethic of Mr. Bidya and want to congratulate Uber on having an extraordinary asset in their team.
