There have been many funny incidents in this ongoing Test match between Australia and India in Ranchi. Yesterday we saw how Smith and Maxwell mocked Kohli’s shoulder injury; today, it was umpire Chris Gaffaney, who has made everyone burst into laughter.
The funny incident happened in the 140th over of the Indian innings, when Cheteshwar Pujara was batting and Josh Hazelwood was bowling to him.
Cheteshwar Pujara is a great batsman and Australian bowlers were struggling hard to take his wicket. While bowling, Hazelwood tried to confuse Pujara with bouncers, but sadly, the batsman remained unaffected. This is when the umpire tried to troll the Australian team; believe me, he trolled them in the most epic way.
What happened is that when Hazelwood delivered a bouncer, it edged Pujara’s bat and the ball went into Wade’s (Wicketkeeper) hand. Although Hazelwood did not appeal for that catch, Chris Gaffaney surprised everyone.
Lol, he started raising his finger for showing the “Out” symbol, but then changed his mind and scratched his head. He actually tried to confuse everyone by raising his finger; however, it ended with something else.
