San Diego’s Gregory Papadin was having a swim in the ocean when his iPhone 5 happened to get loose and plunged to the bottom. However, his phone continued to work and on top of that, recorded everything.
Luckily, the ship’s captain dove down and somehow managed to find the phone and return it to Greg.
He stated that his brother tried to throw the phone to him but it ended up going underwater. It was sinking to the ocean floor’s bottom. Luckily the camera was up and entire thing got recorded.
The pressure underwater was too much and hence Greg and his brother couldn’t swim and get it. However, the owner of that boat that was rented could reduce the pressure with the help of a special breathing method for diving.
Since it could be retrieved, the phone managed surviving the entire ordeal. See the video:
