There is no denying the fact that a teacher’s job is very tough one, especially when teachers have to teach small kids and there are times when they have to be a little strict in order to ensure that students are disciplined and they study properly.
However, beating students is still not acceptable and recently a teacher of a private school was arrested by police for allegedly beating a kid badly just because he could not recite multiplication table of seven. The incident took place in a village in Uttar Pradesh and the accused has been identified as Ashok.
The complaint was filed by the 8 years old boy’s father Pramod who alleged that Ashok had beaten his son mercilessly because he was not able to recite the table of seven. Pramod filed the complaint after his son returned with bruises on his buttocks.
Pramod also said that when he confronted Ashok in this regard, the latter slapped the former and also threatened him of dire consequences in the future.
As per the complaint, the police has booked Ashok under sec 115(2) (causing hurt), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Hopefully justice will prevail and the kid is able to cope up with the trauma of getting beaten so badly.
