Today, the results of Civil Services Examination 2016 have been announced by UPSC i.e. Union Public Commission; the written exam was conducted in December 2016, while the personality test and interview was conducted between March-May this year.
Around 11.36 lakh students candidates appeared for the preliminary exam, out of which just 1099 candidates were selected.
Want to know has topped UPSC exams? Well, it’s Nandini KR from Karnataka; Anmol Sher Singh Bedi occupies has secured the 2nd rank, while Gopalakrishna Ronanki has secured the 3rd rank.
There are around 18 men and 7 women who have bagged the top 25 positions in this exam. 2 other females along with Nandini K R have achived their place in top 10 ranks. Saumya Pandey is on the 4th rank while Shweta Chauhan is on the 7th rank.
Sa of now, 1099 candidates have been recommended to be appointed to various positions i.e. Indian Foreign Service, Indian Administrative Service, Central Services, Indian Police Services, Group “A” and Group “B”.
Out of 1099 students, 500 were from General category, 347 were from OBC category, 89 students were from ST category and 163 were from the SC categories.
A statement from UPSC read, “Appointment to the various Services will be made according to the number of vacancies available with due consideration to the provisions contained in the Rules for the Examination.”
