Trouble has struck one of the most anticipated films of the year, as Vijay’s upcoming movie Jana Nayagan has been hit by a major piracy issue even before its release. Clips from the film have been leaked online and are now circulating across various digital platforms and websites, causing serious concern for the makers.
In response, KVN Productions LLP, the producers of the film, released a strong statement condemning the illegal sharing of content. They revealed that several portions of the film, and in some cases almost the entire movie, had been accessed and distributed without permission by unidentified individuals. The production house stressed that such actions are not only unethical but also a clear violation of copyright laws.
The makers warned that all forms of interaction with the leaked material, including downloading, viewing, storing, forwarding or sharing it through platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, websites or torrents are criminal offences. They also highlighted that digital activities leave traceable footprints and investigations are already underway to identify those responsible.
According to the statement, the team has initiated detailed inquiries, including forensic investigations, and has begun filing complaints against individuals involved in spreading the leaked content. They made it clear that strict civil and criminal action will be taken against everyone linked to the circulation chain, without any exceptions.
The producers also issued an important appeal to the public. They urged people not to engage with the leaked clips in any way and to delete them immediately if they come across such content. They cautioned that anyone found involved in sharing or consuming the pirated material would face legal consequences.

The incident has drawn strong reactions from several well-known actors, including Chiranjeevi, Sivakarthikeyan and Suriya, who have condemned the leak and called for strict action against those responsible.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features a strong cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju, along with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani in key roles.
The film holds special importance as it is expected to be Vijay’s final movie before he steps into politics. It was originally scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, but has now been delayed indefinitely due to issues between the producers and the Central Board of Film Certification.
