The same old story is getting repeated for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2024 too as they have lost 3 out of 4 matches played by them and with each defeat, their chances of playing in the play-offs are becoming difficult.
Before the IPL 2024 started, fans of RCB were very delighted and hopeful of the men’s team winning the trophy and giving them double happiness as the women’s team of RCB had already lifted the WPL trophy and that too in the second season of the WPL only. The star batter of RCB, Virat Kohli is in great form as currently he is the orange cap holder with 203 runs in four matches which also include two fifty plus scores.
RCB played their fourth match against Lucknow Super Giants which they lost by 28 runs, the match was played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, and after winning the toss, RCB chose to bowl first. LSG managed to put up a total of 181/5 in their stipulated 20 overs with the help of brilliant knocks of Quinton de Kock (81 runs) and Nicholas Pooran (40 runs not out) but RCB got all out at the score of 153 runs in 19.4 overs.
The mood in the RCB dressing room was depressing and Virat Kohli was seen quite sad and frustrated after his team lost the match.

The problem with RCB is that the top order which includes Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green haven’t been able to make any impact with the bat till now and it won’t be wrong to say that Virat Kohli is carrying the RCB batting on his shoulder with the support of Dinesh Karthik.
The performance of the RCB bowlers is also not upto the mark and the Bangalore team needs to improve considerably in all the segments if they really want to win the IPL 2024.
