Virat Kohli Celebrates In An Epic Way As He Hits A Four After 80 Balls

The Indian cricket team may have ended the WTC 2021-23 on a disappointing note as it lost the finals to Australia but India has started the new cycle of the WTC in a strong manner. The Indian squad is on the tour to West Indies where it will be playing 2-match test series, 3 ODIs and 5-match T20I series.

The first test match of the series has already started on 12 July at Windsor Park Dominica and India is in a strong position currently as it has taken a lead of 162 runs by the end of day 2. Batting first, the hosts got bundled out for just 150 runs and in response, Indian openers batted beautifully as skipper Rohit Sharma scored 103 runs before getting out. The young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored a century on his debut and became the first Indian opener to debut with a century overseas.

Yashasvi and Rohit stitched a partnership of 229 runs for the first wicket and gave the other Indian batters a solid platform to play freely and score runs. After Rohit got out, Shubman Gill who has been shifted to number 3 from the opening slot wasn’t able to play big innings as he got out at the score of 6 runs.

After Gill, it was Virat Kohli, the number one test batter of India, who came on the crease and stayed till the end of the day 2 with Yasashvi Jaiswal. Virat Kohli was playing at the score of 36 when the game ended and surprisingly his innings included only one four which is a little indifferent to his image.

Virat Kohli had to wait for 80 balls for his first four of the innings and after he got his first four, he celebrated by punching his hand in the air while looking towards the dressing room.

Virat Kohli will certainly like to capitalize on this good start and score big in this match which will bring India in a strong position.

India’s score is 312/2 by the end of day 2 with Yashasvi Jaiswal (143 runs) and Virat Kohli (36 runs) at the crease.
