The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is one of the most loved and most admired cricketers all over the world and he also gets a great number of endorsement deals because of his high popularity among cricket fans, especially the young generation.
We have seen Virat Kohli in many interviews and advertisements as well and one thing is for sure that he is quite comfortable in front of the camera and as he is married to a famous Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, few of his fans feel that Virat Kohli may try his luck in acting. Earlier also few cricketers such as Ajay Jadeja, S Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, etc. have tried to make a career in acting because of which some fans believe that Virat will also venture into acting after retirement from cricket.
However, when casting director Mukesh Chhabra was asked about Virat Kohli entering Bollywood after retirement, he said that Virat Kohli should not pursue acting and he should carry forward his legacy of cricket.
During a podcast, Mukesh Chhabra said, “He is already a great actor. He is from Delhi, he is a Punjabi. He has seen that life. He has handled success so beautifully. He has maintained himself on every level—competition, looks, fitness, mentally.”
He further said, “He is a fan of Chole Bhature, he is a great guy. He appears to be a great husband and a great father. Today, he is a role model for everybody. He is so funny. He will dance, mimic, his comic timing is great. He is doing very well in making the country proud, he should stay where he is and not join films.”
