Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a convincing six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday, April 27. Chasing 163 runs, RCB rode on strong performances from Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya to cross the finish line. Virat Kohli contributed a steady 51 off 47 balls, while Krunal Pandya smashed 73 from 47 deliveries, the duo sharing a crucial 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket. During his innings, Virat Kohli struck four boundaries, playing a pivotal role in RCB’s seventh win of the season.
After the match, a lighthearted moment caught the Internet’s attention. A viral video showed Virat Kohli playfully mimicking KL Rahul’s ‘This is my ground’ celebration during a conversation between the two players.
This gesture referenced an earlier incident when, following an RCB-DC clash at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 10, Rahul had performed the same celebration, sparking widespread reactions online.

Virat Kohli’s 51-run knock not only secured victory for his team but also propelled him to the top of the IPL 2025 Orange Cap standings. With six half-centuries to his name, Virat Kohli has now amassed 443 runs from 10 matches this season. Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav trails him closely with 427 runs from an equal number of games.
The win at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground elevated RCB to the No. 1 position on the IPL 2025 points table, boasting 14 points from 10 matches. With four games remaining, just one more win would ensure Rajat Patidar’s side qualifies for the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
Meanwhile, fans had pinned their hopes on KL Rahul to deliver for Delhi Capitals. Although he top-scored for the Axar Patel-led team with 41 runs from 39 balls, his slow strike rate put additional pressure on the other batters, contributing to DC’s inability to post a competitive total.
As the tournament progresses, RCB looks firmly on course for the playoffs, driven by the experience and consistency of Virat Kohli, while Delhi Capitals are left grappling with issues of form and momentum.
