Indian cricket fans were very hopeful that this time, the Indian cricket team will certainly win the World Test Championship as this was the consecutive second time that India entered the finals of the tournament but things didn’t go as expected and India suffered a humiliating defeat against Australia which won the match by 209 runs.
The match was played at the Oval and the Aussies proved their dominance over India in all the segments. Quite naturally, Indian fans and former cricketers were left very disappointed with the Indian cricketers, especially the former skipper Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli has been in a great form and has played some really good knocks in the recent past whether it was in international cricket or IPL but he failed to perform in the WTC final as he scored 14 and 49 in both the innings.
If you remember, some time back when Virat Kohli was unable to perform in cricket matches, some online users used to troll his wife Anushka Sharma and call her Virat Kohli’s bad luck. After defeat in the WTC final, some users once again tried to put the blame of India’s defeat on Anushka Sharma.
Here is what one Twitter user wrote, “Dear @AnushkaSharma, as a true fan of Virat, I’ve noticed a pattern whenever Anushka is present at the stadium during matches. It seems like neither Virat achieves his goals nor does Team India or any player. I kindly request you to consider not attending matches. Hoping for best!”
This tweet didn’t go well with majority of the Twitter users and they slammed the online user for his illogical tweet. Here are some selected reactions:
This is very sad. You can’t blame @AnushkaSharma for our loss. We lost as a team. It has nothing to do with @AnushkaSharma being there. We failed as a team. @imVkohli being the best, we had more expectations but it’s cricket. Whoever plays better takes the cup.

Your thought process is very sickening. You should stop watching cricket. It is none of your business to comment about @AnushkaSharma

Dear Pradipsinh Solanki, as a true fan of Virat, I've noticed a pattern that when you watch the matches it seems like neither Virat achieves his goals nor does Team India or any player. I kindly request you to consider not watching matches. Hoping for best!

Bhai what's the problem here, Australian players has their family at stadium. They should be present there at this important moments in life.

Haa kar lete hain. Blame the person who has absolutely nothing to do with the game. There are 30,000 other people in the stadium as well. Why not blame the people who are actually responsible — the BCCI for their mockery of the domestic system and the players themselves
