The former Indian cricketer turned commentator, Virender Sehwag is currently making headlines because of the rumours related to his personal life, suggesting that he and his wife Aarti Ahlawat may be heading for a divorce after 20 years of marriage.

Although Sehwag has not deleted old photos with his wife, his last post featuring her was in April 2023. He also did not share anything publicly to mark their 20th wedding anniversary on April 22, 2024.
Virender Sehwag and Aarti’s relationship dates back to their childhood in the 1980s, when they met through family connections. Viru, then seven, and Aarti, five, became close friends, and over time, Sehwag developed feelings for her. He proposed at the age of 21 and they tied the knot in a grand wedding on April 22, 2004, at the home of the former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Aarti, born on December 16, 1980, in New Delhi, kept a low profile throughout her life. She completed her education in New Delhi, earning a diploma in Computer Science from Maitreyi College, Delhi University. She was a supportive partner during Virender Sehwag’s cricket career but largely stayed away from the limelight.
After retiring from cricket in 2015, Sehwag took on various roles, including working with the National Anti-Doping Agency. While their marriage once seemed strong, recent developments suggest their relationship is going through a rough patch.
