MS Dhoni celebrated his 45th birthday with wishes pouring in from fans, teammates and former cricketers. Among the many greetings, Virender Sehwag’s heartfelt message grabbed the most attention as the former India opener used a unique comparison to describe Dhoni’s personality.
Virender Sehwag, who has often been linked with rumours of a love-hate relationship with Dhoni, shared a birthday post on a social media platform in Hindi. In his message, he compared Dhoni to a waterfall named Dhoni in Kerala’s Palakkad, describing it as calm on the outside but incredibly powerful within. He also suggested that the difficult journey to reach the waterfall reflected how extraordinary people are often discovered through challenging paths. Sehwag ended the post by wishing Dhoni a happy birthday and a blessed life.

However, both the former cricketers have repeatedly maintained that their disagreements were only professional and never personal.
Virender Sehwag’s thoughtful birthday message quickly won praise from fans, with many appreciating the creative way he expressed his admiration for MSD. The post also reminded cricket lovers of the respect shared between the two players who played important roles in some of India’s greatest achievements on the field.
