Vivek Anand Oberoi Apologises For His Controversial Tweets - RVCJ Media

The fiasco involving Vivek Oberoi, Salman Khan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not hidden from the world. There was a time when the trio was the heading of the leading newspapers and breaking news on all news channels. In a press conference held in 2003, Vivek told everyone that Salman had called him around 41 times and accused him of being in a relationship with Aishwarya. After that, there was no connection between the three. This ended when a day ago Vivek shared a meme through his Twitter handle which went viral within hours. The meme was a sarcastic joke on Vivek, Aishwarya and Salman relationship.

The actor was brutally trolled and slammed for his tweet which landed him into controversy. From actress Sonam K Ahuja to the National Commission for Women, everyone flaked Vivek for his so-called “distasteful” tweet. After all this counterblast Vivek not only deleted his tweet but also issued an apology on Twitter.

Vivek wrote, “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I can’t even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever. Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies. tweet deleted.”

Vivek’s film PM Narendra Modi also landed into trouble before its release so Election Commission postponed its release date after the Lok Sabha elections. Now the film, based on PM Modi’s life, will hit theatres this Friday.
