Afghanistan would never figure on the list of travelers in the present day scenario but do you know how beautiful and glorious Afghanistan was in the 1960s? If you ask someone who has witnessed that era, he will answer you in just three words, “It was paradise”.

However, the scene changed completely with Russian incursion which prompted America to intervene and after 9/11, everything changed drastically. The streets were filled with dead bodies, beautiful buildings turned into broken stones, women suffered atrocities and kids became terrorists.
Even the Bamyan Buddha, which was the best example of Gandhara School of art suffered badly. Take a look:
