Babar Azam is presently leading his team in the four match T20I series against South Africa. In the third T20 which was played at Centurion, he played a match-winning knock of 122 runs for which he played only 59 deliveries and ensured that his team achieved the target as the hosts put up a total of 203/5 after batting first. Pakistan is leading the series by 2-1 after winning the third T20I.

On the other hand, presently Virat Kohli is leading his team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2021 which is sitting at the top in the points table with 2 wins in the 2 matches.

Virat Kohli needs to wait a little in order to regain his position in the ICC ODI rankings because the next ODI series that India will play is scheduled in June against Sri Lanka.
