In 2014, when Narendra Modi, then the CM of Gujarat was campaigning for the general elections, he took part in a TV program “Ghoshna-Patra Mein Narendra Modi” which was telecasted on ABP news in which he was seen saying that, “some of his Jain friends too are associated with the beef export business.”
Modi is seen saying, “I have some Jain friends. They too are associated with this business.”

PM Modi responded to a question asked by the anchor in which he asked that the beef export did well even in the last BJP led NDA government and why was no action taken at that time.
This 20-second video was first posted by Media Watch on YouTube on April 23, 2014 and it is being uploaded again on Sept 13, 2015 by Akash Jain and then again by Holy India on Oct 5, 2015.
PM Modi is seen saying, “Mere kayi Jain mitra haien.. joh is vyapaar mein haien…. (I have some Jain friends. They too are associated with this business).”
This statement given by PM Modi holds importance in relation to the demand made by the Jain community to ban mutton and beef during their festivals and also the killing of Mohammad Akhlaq in Dadri just on the basis of rumor that he and his family ate cow meat.
During 2014, when Narendra Modi was campaigning for general elections, many times he referred to “Pink Revolution”. It is a clear fact that many non-Muslims are doing the business of beef export and there is plenty of proof that they earning well also.
There has been a rise of 15% in beef export under Modi government in comparison to Manmohan government.
