The online drama involving Virat Kohli, Avneet Kaur and Rahul Vaidya has taken a fiery turn. It all began when Virat Kohli addressed an unexpected Instagram like on Avneet’s photo, attributing it to an “algorithm glitch”.
Singer Rahul Vaidya jumped in, mocking Virat Kohli’s explanation and revealing that he had been blocked by the cricketer years ago. Rahul Vaidya’s taunts did not end there, he continued trolling the situation with sarcastic videos and memes, even referencing the “glitch” as the reason behind the block.
The feud gained new momentum when a resurfaced clip showed Rahul Vaidya singing and kissing Anushka Sharma’s hand on stage, with fans humorously linking that moment to Virat Kohli’s block. Amidst the ongoing mockery, Virat Kohli’s family has finally broken the silence.
Virat’s brother Vikas Kohli took to Threads to lash out at the singer’s attempt to stay relevant through controversy. In a scathing post, he wrote, “Bache itni mehnat agar apni singing pai karle to shayad apni mehnat se famous ho jaae… While the whole nation is focused on the current situation of whats going on… this idiot is on a mission to gain followers and become famous taking Virat’s name… WHAT A LOSER.”
Rahul Vaidya, meanwhile, has kept the pot boiling with a sarcastic reel mocking Virat Kohli’s algorithm excuse: “Main kehna chahta hoon ki aaj ke baad aisa ho sakta hai ki algorithm bohot saare photos like karde jo maine nahi kare… please don’t do PR around it because it is not my mistake. It is Instagram’s mistake, okay?”
He didn’t stop there, cheekily posting, “So guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. I think that too is an Instagram glitch… ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kardeti hoon’.”
What began as a small online stir has now grown into a full-fledged digital showdown, with Virat Kohli’s family stepping in to defend the cricketer’s silence and dignity.
