There is a notion that the government job means resting in office for the whole life or getting rich under the table but there are some government employees who really work and sometimes there actions make them worthy of our respect and appreciation.
One such government employee is the District Magistrate of Gopalganj, Bihar whose name is Rahul Kumar.
Last year, in January a widow named Sunita Kunwar who has two kids was sacked from her job from a school in Kalyanpur village, Gopalganj. Sunita used to cook mid-day meals in that school. The reason given for sacking her was that she is a widow, and more surprising was the fact that the people who were adamant of firing her were the one who gave her the job.
Sunita tried to get her job back as she went to the village Mukhiya for help but nothing happened and then she appealed the DM to help her when she met him in one of his public meetings, the DM promised to help her and he did too.
DM Rahul Kumar had his Friday lunch in the school with hundreds of students and the food was cooked by the cooks which included Sunita also.
It is more important that DM Rahul Kumar came to show his support to Sunita as one day before when the higher officials passed the order to reinstate Sunita, the villagers made the students and teachers vacated the school and locked it.
