WhatsApp: Don't Want Others To Know That You Read Their Messages? Try This Trick - RVCJ Media

The messaging platform WhatsApp has become an important part of our lives as it has made it easy for us to keep in touch with our family, relatives and friends. However, not every time a person is in mood of chatting or communicating; nevertheless, at one fell swoop, it’s also true that not replying to your loved ones may make them feel bad.

Even if you are not an avid user of WhatsApp, you must be knowing that the sender of the message comes to know that the message has been read with the help of “read receipts”. Read receipts are the ticks which turn blue when the message is read.

So if you don’t want anyone to know whether you have read the message or not, here is a simple technique to turn off your read receipts:

Before you open WhatsApp, turn on the airplane mode of your smartphone; this will result in ticks remaining grey and sender won’t come to know that you have read the message.

In November 2014, WhatsApp launched the blue tick feature; message has been delivered is expressed by double ticks and these ticks turn blue when the message is read.
