This WhatsApp Group Fight Increased To Such An Extent That 1 Had To Be Hospitalized!

A youth identified as Akshay Dinkar, sustained injuries when there were clashes between 2 groups of college students, following a dispute regarding changing the WhatsApp group name,

This incident happened on Friday in the premises of Garware College. Apart from Akshay, there were 4 others who had sustained minor injuries. Sanket Salunke, a BBA student registered a complaint on Sunday.

As per the police, some members were wishing Sanket on Whatsapp for his birthday and the name of the group was changed to his name. However, 1 of the accused again changed the group’s name to something which irked Dinkar, Sanket’s friend. Since he objected, there was a dispute among both the groups.

When both groups confronted each other in college, next day, the accused along with his friends attacked Sanket and his 4 friends, in which Akshay sustained major injuries since he was attacked with weapons and wooden objects.

Police stated that Akshay is now being treated at a private hospital. “We have registered a case against 22 youths and arrested five under relevant sections of IPC,” the inspector said. Further investigation is on.
