Aamir explained that the producers, including Disney, had told him that not releasing the film in Pakistan could affect their revenue. However, he was clear from the beginning that he would not compromise on national values. He recalled instantly deciding that the film would not be released in Pakistan if those changes were required. According to him, he didn’t even need a second thought. He strongly felt that if anyone asked him to take out the national flag or anthem, he had no interest in making his film available to them.
