A disturbing incident at Mathura Railway Station has triggered anger online after a police officer was accused of assaulting a tea vendor over a minor delay in preparing tea.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning at Platform No. 8 at a stall named Krishna Foods. According to reports, the vendor, identified as Suraj, was cleaning the stall when a Government Railway Police sub-inspector, Vivek Kumar, approached him around 8 am and asked for tea.
Suraj reportedly told the officer that it would take a few minutes because he was still finishing some work. This response allegedly annoyed the officer, who walked away at the time. However, about 15 minutes later, the officer returned to the stall. When the vendor again asked him to wait briefly, the situation reportedly escalated. The officer allegedly began abusing the vendor and slapped him several times.
The incident was captured on CCTV cameras and the footage soon went viral on social media. The video reportedly shows the officer shouting at the vendor, using abusive language and making threatening remarks, which led to widespread criticism online. The police officer went to the extent of saying to the vendor that he will pee in his mouth. Many users questioned the misuse of authority by the officer.

After the video started circulating widely, senior officials took notice of the incident and initiated action. Rajesh Dixit, the Circle Officer, confirmed that the sub-inspector had been suspended while a detailed investigation is being conducted.
Meanwhile, Jitendra Kumar, the in-charge of the GRP station, said that by Wednesday evening, no formal complaint had been filed by the vendor regarding the incident.
The video continues to spark debate online, with many people calling for strict action and accountability in the case.
