Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde starrer Mohenjo Daro is being criticized ever since its trailer released on account of inaccuracies not only from factual but also historical point of view. Questions have been raised on few things by a number of scholars but finally, the movie managed to cross one of the biggest barriers, i.e., the censor board.
Can’t believe? Even we couldn’t, at first, taking into consideration the history of the censor board that demanded unnecessary cuts in many movies over past few months.
At this point, it’s really surprising as to how Censor Board of Film Certification gave a green flag to the much talked-about passionate kisses in Mohenjo Daro. Yes, you read it right! The movie is passed by CBFC without any cuts!!
In recent times, Pahlaj Nihalani is very much condemned for being “Sanskari” and his obsession with cutting scenes which, according to him, are vulgar, even though others find them completely okay!
You must be remembering the incident when CBFC chief found Monica Bellucci and Daniel Craig’s kiss inappropriate and shortened it?
Jokes, trolls, gags and memes made that incident one of the most memorable ones in the history of Internet. Wondering how CBFC or Pahlaj Nihalani has grown up to clear Mohenjo Daro with not even a single cut!
This is what Hrithik Roshan stated in an interview,
“I wasn’t expecting any cuts, to be honest. But I am glad nevertheless. As for the kisses being left intact, I guess they came across as they were meant to, as manifestations of pure love. Vulgarity is always in the intention and expression. And we never went that way.”
The film has got a UA certificate and you can enjoy Mohenjo Daro just as the movie is made on 12th August!
