“World Is Full Of….,” Farah Khan On Bollywood People Ignoring Her Husband Shirish Kunder

Farah Khan has always been one of Bollywood’s most spirited personalities. Her humour, sharp observations and effortless candour have made her a favourite both on and off screen. But behind her confident, often playful persona is someone who has learnt, sometimes the hard way, how honesty can affect relationships. Over the years, she has discovered that speaking her mind, while refreshing to many, can also create unexpected distance within her circle.

This honest self-reflection came through clearly during her conversation with Sania Mirza on the latter’s YouTube show. Farah admitted that growing older has made her rethink how openly she responds to people, especially friends from the film industry. She acknowledged that her straightforward comments can unintentionally upset those close to her and that she is learning when to hold back.

As the conversation moved to her personal life, Farah opened up about her marriage to Shirish Kunder. She said that their early years together were filled with challenges because their social habits were so different. She often enjoyed going out while Shirish preferred to keep to himself, which led to arguments in the beginning.

Farah Khan spoke honestly about how her fame sometimes made things uncomfortable for Shirish Kunder. At public events, all the attention would naturally shift toward her, leaving him overlooked. She said that not just the industry but this whole world is full of stupid people (a******) and many people just ignored Shirish in the parties as she is more successful between two of them.

Farah Khan added that this imbalance didn’t feel good for either of them and they eventually decided that Shirish should simply skip gatherings where he felt uneasy. For her, his peace of mind mattered far more than appearances.

Farah also explained why they do not indulge in the red-carpet displays like many celebrity couples engage in. She believes that true security in a relationship doesn’t need grand gestures. According to her, couples who constantly project affection in public often do it to cover up something deeper.

Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder, who married in 2004 and became parents to triplets in 2008, have now spent two decades shaping a marriage that works on their terms. Through honesty, compromise and understanding, they’ve learned to blend fame and personal space in a way that keeps them both grounded.
