Getting a lucrative job is a dream which every student wants to make true! Some get good jobs from campus, some others get decent ones while few make history.
Siddharth (21) who is a student of Delhi Technical University (DTU) has made history by getting an offer of Rs. 1.25 crore from Uber Technologies, a cab-service based in USA.
Siddharth will be joining the San Fransisco office of Uber and has been appointed at the designation of Software engineer. Rs. 71 lakhs is what Siddharth will receive as basic pay while his salary increases to Rs. 1.25 crore after all other benefits are added.
For getting this job, Siddharth had to go through a difficult recruitment process in which he was asked to solve many problems then and there only. In his words,
“It was a delight to have received the job offer and I am now looking forward to move to San Francisco.”
However, it was little easy for Siddharth to get PPO, as he had already served as intern in Uber for seven months.
He was always interested in Computer Science and his achievement is more special as he is the first one from his family to become an engineer. His other interests are, “I loved playing video games, FIFA series, football and I also manage to play a guitar, though I sing terribly.”
This is the second best offer any DTU student has received, as Google offered Rs. 1.27 crore per annum to a student in 2015. Head of Training and Placement of DTU, R.S Walia, said,
“We already have 1050 offers from different companies. Around 200 companies have already visited the college and more in the line.”
