Merry Christmas to one and all; it’s time for showering gifts and PM Modi is all set to do so. Yes, he is going to play Santa Claus for all those Indian citizens who have respected his demonetization move and have switched to digital payments after the 8th of November.

Want to know what’s the gift by Government? Well, PM Modi would be launching 2 schemes; the Digi-Dhan Vyapari Yojana and Lucky Grahak Yojana today. This is mainly to give incentives to merchants and consumers who switch to digital payments.

Government has set aside an amount of a whopping Rs 340 crores and these schemes would run for 100 days; there’s a good chance to earn cash prizes.

Under the scheme “Grahak Yojana”, the government will declare 15,000 winners daily for 100 days (Starting today) and each of them will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,000. Under this scheme, there will also be a weekly draw for 7 winners and the maximum award is Rs 1,00,000 each.

Under the 2nd scheme “Digi Dhan Vyapari Yojna”, 7,000 merchants will get weekly awards and the maximum award is Rs 50,000 each.

Apart from this, there would be a mega award on the 14th of April 2017 and the cash prizes are Rs 25 lakhs, Rs 50 lakhs and Rs 1 crore for consumers for all transactions between the 8th of November and the 13th of April.

For merchants, the cash prizes are Rs 5 lakhs, Rs 25 lakhs and Rs 50 lakhs respectively.
