WTF! Baahubali 2 Gets “A” Certificate From Singapore Censor Board For This Reason!

Many a times, we are pissed off with our Indian Censor Board for its unreasonable demands; however, you’ll be chilled out after knowing the weirdness of Singapore Censor Board. After enjoying mammoth success in India, Baahubali 2 is all set to receive appreciation in Singapore; however, the Censor Board there reduced the audience by issuing an “A” certificate to it.

Talking about this decision, Pahlaj Nihalani said,

“We granted Baahubali 2 :The Conclusion a ‘UA’ with virtually no cuts. In Singapore, they found Baahubali too violent. The war scenes, specially of soldiers being beheaded, were taken to be excessively gruesome by their censor board. In many countries of Asia and Europe more Bollywood films get ‘A’ certificate than we do in India.”

Talking about the difference in the culture, Nihalani said,

“Responding to Baahubali 2 getting an ‘UA’ certificate (unrestricted public exhibition subject to parental guidance for children below the age of twelve) in India, Nihilani’s argument was, “Our mythology and religious scriptures have a lot of violent images of rakshasas being beheaded, etc. So, our children grow up hearing these tales of violence. They are not scared by mythological mayhem.”

In India, the movie has done exceptionally well, but in Singapore, the profits might be affected due to the NC16 certification i.e. restricted only to audience above 16 years of age.

The Singapore Censor Board thinks that Baahubali 2 is too violent for kids, do you actually feel so? This is not the 1st time that the Board has shown its strictness; it had issued “A” certification even to Beauty & The Beast for gay scenes.
