All the attempts of the government and the so-called righteous authority to put an end on the crimes are beyond our understanding. We have been bound to say so, because after the ban on beef, porn sites, comedy and insulting roast, and now the new thing to join the list is – Mannequins. Hilariously, mannequins which are showcased wearing lingerie are going to be banned in Mumbai, and for what good reason you may ask – Let us tell you – Such things provoke rapes and to restrict sex crime it is a welcoming decision as per BMC (of course).
To stop the “wrong acts” performed by men and to increase women safety – Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation – proposed to ban lingerie adorning mannequins, and their plea has been heard and approved as well. As the proposal comes into effect civic officials will get the right to remove any mannequin from any shop which they think is indecent to be hanged in public. The proposal was brought up by BJP corporator from Ghatkopar, Ritu Tawade, on 26 April and passed on 16 May.
We all will “not-so-proudly” tell the generations what we are witnessing today – Illogical Indians! Only if someone ask them to explain how banning Mannequins will help?
