Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech’s wedding has been the talk of the town since months now; they are leaving no stone unturned to make their wedding a memorable one. Yesterday, we reported about Yuvraj Singh misspelling Narendra Modi’s name on the wedding card.
Once again, this grand wedding has hit the news; this time for another reason. Reports have surfaced that Yuvraj’s dad Yograj Singh won’t be attending the wedding that is scheduled on 30th of November in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib Gurudawara.
You heard it right; his father might miss the wedding but he admitted that he will surely attend the Mehendi function on 29th of November at Hotel Lalit.
He said “I was invited with respect by my son and my name is printed on the invites. I will go there as my son wants me to be there,” On being asked about the reason why he won’t attend the wedding.”
“It is my misfortune that I will not be attending the traditional wedding of my son … I had told Yuvraj’s mother that I will not attend the wedding if it is solemnised at any guru or dera sect or involves any religious guru. It’s destiny, I will not go. I only believe in God and not religious gurus.”

Talking about the money being splurged on weddings, he said
“I feel when women take over, men should just shut up and take the backseat. Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam has a lot of money and it is her choice how she organises the wedding, but she should spend carefully.”
Yograj Singh and Shabnam (Yuvi’s mom) have been separated since years now and since then Yuvi has been staying with his mom.
Yograj called Hazel an ‘Angel’ and said
“Even though she has been brought up in a western culture, she is rooted and gives a lot of importance to values and traditions. I know she will bring a positive change in the family and bring the brothers and sisters close to each other. Yuvraj and Hazel are like parents to their younger brother and sisters.”
