Team India’s dressing room will not be the same anymore as its most loved fielding coach T Dilip has left the team because his term has come to an end.

Former India captain Rohit Sharma posted a special story on Instagram on Monday, August 3, for T Dilip, who was India’s fielding coach for more than five years. Dilip had a very close bond with all the players and his contract ended after India’s recent white-ball tour of England.
Rohit Sharma shared a photo with Dilip and gave him a beautiful tribute. He called him a legend and said that Dilip did a lot of hard work behind the scenes and created magic inside the team. He also wished him best of luck for the future. Dilip had worked very closely with Rohit Sharma when he was the captain of India in all three formats.
Here is Rohit Sharma’s post:

During his time as fielding coach, Dilip was part of many big wins – two T20 World Cups, the Champions Trophy in 2025 and two Asia Cup titles.
Dilip had taken over from R Sridhar as India’s fielding coach in 2021. Now, the BCCI has appointed Subhadeep Ghosh as the new fielding coach. Subhadeep Ghosh will start his new job in the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which will begin on August 15 in Galle.
On Monday, Dilip also posted a long and emotional farewell note on Instagram. He said that it is very difficult to describe his five-year journey in words. When he first joined the team, his only aim was to give his best every single day. He said fielding was his way of helping the team and he is thankful for being part of this journey.
