In 2007, Indian cricket team played One Day International series against South Africa and in the 3rd ODI which was played at Belfast, the South African batsman AB de Villiers ruined the spirit of sportsmanship and did something which stopped us from respecting him.
On Zaheer Khan’s bowling, AB de Villiers edged the bowl and the catch was taken by Sachin Tendulkar who was fielding on the first slip. Indian players started celebrating as it was a clear dismissal but the batsman didn’t move from the crease as if nothing has happened.
What was worst that when Indian players look towards the Umpire Aleem Dar for the decision, he also declared it as not out. It was a rude shock for Indian cricketers; however, even after such poor umpiring India won the match by 6 wickets.
