You Won’t Believe What Hackers Did With Kanhaiya Kumar’s Facebook Account After Hacking It

On Saturday, the Facebook account of Kanhaiya Kumar, President of JNU student union was hacked and changes have been made to his profile picture and cover image. Kanhaiya is presently in Tihar jail since he is facing sedition charges.

The original profile photo of Kanhaiya featured him and in the background, there was the logo of CPI (M) and his cover image used to show the photo of Martyr’s Memorial, Patna. But now his profile photo shows a group of soldiers who are hoisting Indian flag and his cover image has been replaced with scenery painted in tri-color shades.

However, the profile photo is doctored as the original image is of American soldiers hoisting American flag after they fought the Battle of Iwo Jima in the Second World War. The Indian flag took place of American flag in the photo.

The members of Students council are constantly protesting and demanding the release of Kanhaiya. They also assert, “His (Kanhaiya) account has been hacked purposely to aggravate the situation. We will report the matter to Delhi Police Cyber Cell.”

Jawaharlal Nehru University has been the center of controversy since an event was organized on the topic of “judicial killing” of Afzal Guru and anti-India slogans were shouted in the event.
