Well, V Chamundeshwarnath, the president of Hyderabad District Badminton Association has promised to gift a BMW from his side for this stupendous win. This was already decided; he told Sindhu if she would win a medal, she will get a BMW and he is keeping his words. If you aren’t aware, let us tell you that even Saina Nehwal received a BMW after she made the country proud with a Bronze medal at London Olympics.
Woah! Cash Prizes too..
Telangana Government is going to give her a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. On the other hand, Rs 50 lakhs have been promised by Badminton Federation of India. Even her deserving and hard-working coach, Gopichand would be getting a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs. Madhya Pradesh Government too is not behind as it has promised her a cash prize of 50 lakhs. Delhi Government is chipping in a whopping 2 crores. Now, this total comes up to Rs 4 crores, isn’t it superb?
