The Indian Premier League is one of the biggest sports tournaments of the world and it won’t be wrong to say that Indian cricket fans have played a very important role in making this league the best league contest of the world.
Fans are quite emotional for the game, their favourite team and their favourite players and this is why they spend a huge amount of money in buying stadium tickets to watch the match from the stadium. While there are many on-the-field incidents about which fans and people talk after the match gets over, few off-the-field incidents also catch a lot of attention of people.
Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders clashed against each other in a match which was played on 11 May at Eden Garden, Kolkata and it was won by KKR by 18 runs. One incident took place during the match in which a young KKR fan was left heartbroken and the video of that incident is currently going viral.
During the KKR innings, Andre Russell smashed a huge six which landed in the lower stands of the stadium, a young KKR fan who had Rinku Singh’s name written on his jersey got the ball and he tried to hide the ball in his pocket but the policeman caught him, took the ball from him and threw it in the ground.
Here is the video of the incident:

KKR has become the first team to enter the play-offs as they are table toppers with 9 wins in 13 matches and if we talk about the KKR vs MI match, overs were reduced to 16 from 20 due to rains. Batting first, KKR put up a total of 157/7 with the help of useful knocks of Venkatesh Iyer (42 runs, 21 balls, 6 fours & 2 sixes), Nitish Rana (33 runs, 23 balls, 4 fours & 1 six) and Andre Russell (24 runs, 14 balls, 2 fours & 2 sixes).
Though MI started well as Ishan Kishan (40 runs, 22 balls, 5 fours & 2 sixes) and Rohit Sharma (19 runs, 24 balls, 1 four & 1 six) stitched a partnership of 65 runs for the first wicket, soon their batting lineup fumbled and they could manage only 139/8 in 16 overs.
MI was the first team which got knocked out of the race of the play-offs and the five times champions will certainly like to forget this season as it gets over.
