Yuvraj Requests Sheldon Jackson To Wear A Helmet While Keeping, The Wicketkeeper Responds

The IPL 2022 has started with a bang and within just 2 days, we have witnessed few exciting moments, one of which was Sheldon Jackson’s stumping of Robin Uthappa in the opening match of the tournament which was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings. The match was won by KKR as the defending champions were not even able to put up a good fight in the match, the only positive that came out from that match for CSK was MS Dhoni’s brilliant knock of fifty.

Sheldon Jackson got praised a lot for his wicketkeeping in the match and especially for stumping Robin Uthappa on the bowling of Varun Chakravarthy as Sheldon Jackson conducted the stumping in a lighting speed. KKR’s Sheldon Jackson for whom it was his first IPL match since 2017 was praised by the legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who got reminded of MS Dhoni.

Sachin Tendulkar lauded him by tweeting, “That was an outstanding stumping. @ShelJackson27’s speed reminded me of @msdhoni. Lightning fast!!”

While many other former cricketers and fans also appreciated Sheldon Jackson for his wicketkeeping , the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh seemed to be a little worried about safety of Sheldon and advised him to wear a helmet while keeping wickets on the bowling of spinners.

Yuvi tweeted, “Dear #SheldonJackson please wear a helmet when u keeping to spinners! You are a very talented player and have a golden opportunity after a long time be safe!!! And all the best #CSKvKKR #IPL2022”

Now the KKR cricketer who plays for Saurashtra in the domestic circuits also responded on Yuvi’s tweet. Thanking Yuvraj Singh for his concern, Sheldon Jackson tweeted, “Thank you so so much bhaiya”.

The 35 years old cricketer hasn’t made it in the national level till now but his performance in the domestic level has been wonderful and he stands at the second spot in the list of batsmen who have scored most centuries. While Sheldon Jackson has scored 17 centuries, only Cheteshwar Pujara is ahead of him with 21 centuries.

The next match of KKR is against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 30 and the KKR skipper Sheyas Iyer will certainly like to carry on with the winning momentum.
