Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has conducted Instagram live chat sessions with many Indian cricketers and recently, he chatted with the Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah is referred to as one of the best pacers of the world in the present times and he has proved his talent many times as he helped his team in winning matches by taking wickets at crucial junctures. Bumrah who is also famous for his unusual bowling action made his debut in 2016 and since then, he has represented India in 128 matches and has taken 233 wickets.
However during the live chat session, Yuvi took a dig at Bumrah’s batting statistics as his highest in ODIs and tests is 10 while in IPL, his highest score is 16. Nevertheless, Jasprit Bumrah gave a wonderful reply as he told Yuvraj that his highest is 42 against Goa which he scored in only 20 balls.
Jasprit Bumrah’s batting record is not quite worth talking as he has scored only 19 runs in 64 ODIs that he has played but there is one incident which no Indian cricket fan will be able to forget. In March 2019, the Australian team visited India and during the fourth ODI at Mohali, the Australian pacer Pat Cummins was literally on fire as he had already taken five wickets when Jasprit Bumrah came to bat after Yuzvendra Chahal’s dismissal. It was Pat Cummins’ last delivery which he bowled full-length and to everybody’s shock, Jasprit hit it for a six. It was a big surprise for everyone including the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and that is the only six that has been hit by Bumrah along with 29 fours.
Yuvi and Bumrah share a good bond as they both have played together for the Indian team as well as for IPL team Mumbai Indians under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
