Yuzvendra Chahal’s Tweet After Omission From India Vs Australia T20I Series Goes Viral - RVCJ Media

Within 24 hrs of India losing the finals, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member squad for the bilateral series and quite obviously, the majority of the players who played in the World Cup 2023 are not a part of this squad. However, omission of one name hasn’t gone well with many and that one name is of spinner Yuzvendra Chahal despite the fact that Yuzi is the highest wicket taker for India in the T20Is.

Yuzvendra Chahal has played 80 matches in which he has taken 96 wickets and his career best figures are 6/25. Yuzi who was not included in the World Cup 2023 squad and the Asian Games squad as well has also reacted on his omission. He took to X and posted an emoji which denotes contentment.

The selectors have preferred Ravi Bishnoi as spinner and the team will also have all-rounders – Axar Patel and Washington Sundar and they both are also good spinners.

The team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, Ruturaj Gaikwad will be his deputy, and the squad contains young players such as Ishan Kishan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shivam Dubey, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar.

The first T20I will be played on 23 Nov 2023 at Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

What do you think of Yuzvendra Chahal’s omission from the team? Is it the end of road for him?
