Whenever India and Pakistan face each other on the cricket field, that match is watched not only in both the countries but in almost every cricket playing nation. These two arch-rivals met again in ICC Champions Trophy on June 4 and the Indian team defeated Pak with a huge margin. There have been celebrations all over the country after this victory; however, some sections of the society want India to stop playing cricket with Pakistan as the latter is involved in sponsoring anti-India activities.
Zee TV has already announced that it won’t be covering the Indo-Pak match as it is of the opinion that India should stop playing against Pakistan until it stops carrying out anti-India activities. The founder of Zee Group Subhash Chandra himself tweeted that no channel of Zee group would cover the news of Indo-Pak match and would not be showing any news related to this match. This decision got the support of all the news journalists and reporters of the Zee group.
After the match, the senior editor of Zee news, Sudhir Chaudhary, made a tweet in which he said that the Indian cricket team won the match but India lost. He wrote, “Cricket team won but India lost!”
