Raghu Ram has been associated with the reality show “Roadies ” and then “Spiltvilla”. At times, it seemed as if it was only Raghu Ram and Rajiv who ruled the MTV’S. Well, due to this huge fan following and lovers, here we brought you few facts about Raghu Ram.
1. Raghu Ram was born as an identical-twin in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India and raised in Delhi along with his twin brother, Rajiv Laxman.
2. In 2004, Ram appeared in Indian Idol Season 1 as a contestant and was disqualified due to his disability to sing and his ferious attitude in front of the judges Anu Malik, Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam.
3. On this, he later explained in his autobiography that it was a prank played by him, which was insisted by one of his colleagues and his wife who have been working in Indian Idol 1 as moderators.
4. Ram wrote his autobiography titled Rearview: My Roadies Journey, that was published in 2013.
5. Ram is married to actress Sugandha Garg, who has played roles in Hindi films Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Tere Bin Laden and My Name Is Khan.
6. Ram started his career at MTV India supervising various shows like MTV Love Line with Malaika Arora Khan and Cyrus Broacha, video jockeys , and lead MTV Select and the first few seasons of MTV Super Select with VJ Nikhil Chinapa.
7. Ram is a senior supervising producer at MTV India and the executive producer of reality television shows MTV Splitsvilla and previously MTV Roadies.
8. Raghu and Rajiv’s wives also look similar. In fact, a lot of people think they are sisters.
9. In an audition, when a contestant in Roadies shared about his dark childhood of been beaten up by his schoolmates, Raghu claimed to have experienced the same childhood.
